Bush hits new low in N.H.

July 18, 2007 - President Bush's job approval rating in New Hampshire hit a low for his presidency - 24 percent - in a new poll released today.

Seventy-two percent of those polled disapproved of Bush's performance in the University of New Hampshire poll for CNN and WMUR-TV.

"Republicans are still modestly supporting Bush," said poll director Andrew Smith. "But there has to be real concern among Republicans that animosity toward Bush will drag down other Republicans, such as Sen. John Sununu, in 2008."
