Congressional petition to end TARP!

WASHINGTON - September 29, 2009 - Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner will have some explaining to do to his banker backers as to why Congress is not too happy with the ongoing Wall Street bailout known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).

Congressman Paul Hodes (D-N.H.) has sent a letter to Secretary Geithner demanding an end to TARP at its properly scheduled end date of December 31, 2009, instead of extending it well into 2010.

The letter's message, which any rational human being would immediately endorse - especially now that even Bernanke has said that the economy is doing well - has the signatures of 28 members of Congress, both Republican and Democrat, including HR.1207 (to audit the Federal Reserve) sponsor Ron Paul.
