WASHINGTON (PNN) - October 19, 2026 - Federal investigators have DNA evidence in their criminal investigation into Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (Minn.) immigration fraud. The New York Post and Fox News reported that the feds obtained Ilhan Omar’s DNA and may use it to prove that she committed immigration fraud. It is unclear how Ilhan Omar’s DNA was obtained.
The feds raided Omar’s DC residence last week and seized boxes of evidence. Federal investigators have been probing the immigration paperwork filed by Omar’s father.
The President Donald J. Trump regime is seeking to strip Omar of United States citizenship.
People familiar with the years-long criminal probe said the feds have made use of whistleblowers, government records, and now obtained DNA in an effort to substantiate decade-old allegations that Omar - and possibly members of her family like her father - defrauded immigration authorities.
One source said the DNA evidence was critical to proving an allegation that Omar married her brother when she wed Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009 because she was trying to help him get a green card - which never came to fruition.
It is unclear whether the DNA was taken before or after Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) searched the congressman’s home in Washington, DC, last Monday, when federal agents were seen exiting the bungalow with boxes marked “Seized Property Evidence.”
According to Fox News, federal investigators are in possession of Omar’s DNA and personal passport. Omar’s official passport from her office has not been retrieved, but authorities are not concerned with Omar fleeing the country.
CNN reported that the investigation into Omar may widen to a conspiracy case as several members of Omar’s family have been subpoenaed.
Last week, the Associated Press and NBC News reported that federal investigators were also probing Omar’s financial records.
