Patrick Stewart was a brilliant stage presence; a man who gave amazing performances in London’s West End as a Shakespearian actor. He was a renowned artist and hailed by many for his role as Professor X in the X-Men movies. However, perhaps he is best known for his portrayal of Jean Luc Picard, captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the Star Trek: Next Generation television series and the subsequent Star Trek: Next Generation motion pictures birthed by that series. I do not know who made this brief video celebrating his life (it was made by @Target Audience), but I for one am genuinely grateful to that individual, and I suspect many of you will feel the same way when you watch it. He brought countless people so much joy and inspiration in life, and I pray that he continues his amazing existence in the Final Frontier. Rest in Peace.
